MADISON, Wis. 鈥� A driver was ticketed after going around a fire truck that was blocking a University Avenue intersection for an ambulance and hitting the ambulance, Madison police reported.
The crash happened about 10:10 p.m. on Nov. 15 when the firetruck, which had its emergency lights activated, blocked the unspecified intersection after seeing the ambulance, which was taking a patient to a local hospital, police spokesperson Officer Stephanie Fryer said in a statement.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, drove around the fire truck and collided with the ambulance.
No injuries were reported from the crash, and another ambulance came to take the patient to the hospital.
The driver was ticketed for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, no insurance, and not having a driver鈥檚 license.
