EL DORADO, Kan. 鈥 Paramedic Justin Lauppe, a 14-year veteran of Butler County EMS, died in the line of duty on May 16.

Lauppe experienced cardiac arrest while responding to an emergency call and did not survive, according to . His service to his community exemplified 鈥渢he courage and selflessness that defined his career.鈥
