National Registry of EMTs launches new podcast 鈥楩rom Science to the Scene鈥

The National Registry鈥檚 new short-form podcast aims to help EMS clinicians quickly apply the latest research and evidence-based guidance to patient care in the field

COLUMBUS, Ohio 鈥 The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians has launched a new short-form podcast designed to help EMS clinicians quickly turn new research and evidence-based findings into practical takeaways for patient care.

Produced by the National Registry鈥檚 research team, 鈥鈥 episodes run about 10 minutes and are aimed at clinicians, educators and EMS leaders, the National Registry said in a .

鈥淣ew research and scientific literature are constantly emerging, and it can be difficult for busy EMS Clinicians to keep up,鈥 National Registry鈥檚 Research Team member and EMS Fellow Chris Gage said. 鈥淭his podcast helps break down the most important findings and explains what they mean for EMS Clinicians and their patients.鈥

Episodes will spotlight research and guidance from leading EMS and emergency medicine sources, with early topics including TXA in trauma care, airway management, mass casualty response, long bone fractures and racial disparities in emergency care.

New episodes will be released every other Friday, with clips shared on social media. The podcast is geared toward EMS clinicians as well as educators, medical directors and others who use research to shape practice and policy.

The podcast will be available on the organization鈥檚 website, social media channels and major podcast platforms.
